With a surface of approximately 4 500 m², the indoor aquatic pool has a ETFE polymer dome that needs an efficient ventilation to demist the walls. MINO company, warrant of the system’s installation, called upon F2A’s expertise to reach its objectives. Due to its peculiar geometry and for aesthetics means, the establishment benefited from a ventilation system based on custom-made textile ducts that easily fit in the architectural complex.

Requirements

Demisting the walls of the polymer dome is the first ventilation constraint in the park; the ambient humidity and the heat gaps create mist that prevents the sun from going through the windows. Furthermore, since this park is a recreational area, architectural integration and aesthetic constraints are strong. The skeleton of the dome adds a geometrical constraint. Finally, the ventilated surface represents over 4 500 m².

F2A solution

Taking into account the skeleton’s geometrical constraint, specific tailored bends have been installed in order to adjust the angle and position of each section of the ducts. This piece, result of a specific product development, enabled the curvature of the ductwork to be smooth and fitted to the lines of the dome. They meet the efficiency, aesthetic and geometrical requirements of the park.
